Volume XI contains newspaper and journal cuttings, personal correspondence, entries from auction and exhibition catalogues, and just two diary entries. These items concern Kitson's work on Cotman during the last phases of the preparation of his biography of the artist, which was to be published in 1937. Several of the later items concern the restoration of watercolours by Cotman in the Russell Colman collection in Norwich and, in the process, the discovery of eight previously unknown drawings or sketches.
