Dear Mr. Kitson; I am sending on to you four albums and a parcel of drawings which were sent on here from the Portrait Gallery. They appear to contain a number of things by Matilda Lowry, [ daughter of J.W. Lowry the engraver] who was a miniature painter and also did water-colour landscapes in the Varley tradition. There are some Cotmanesque drawing-copies in the parcel of larger stuff which Adams thought would interest you most. Please remember me to Elizabeth and Barbara and tell them that I hope they will come and see our xviiith. century house at Richmond before very long.
Yours most sincerely
xxi.v.xxxvi Edward Croft Murray.
I don't know if Adams gave you the name of the owner [or rather representative for the owner] of the drawings. It is
Edgar R. Whitby

Will you deal direct with him, if you feel like buying anything.
