    7 Little Tower Sreet
    London. March 19th 1861

    Revd Sir,
The lamented death of Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Kent, having, both on account of the high estimation in which her character and virtues are held, and the nearness of her relationship to our beloved Queen, excited so deep and universal a feeling of sympathy and regret throughout the whole nation, will in all probability form a subject of discourse in all the Pulpits of the Church. I take the liberty therefore, of informing you, that I am preparing special sermons on the subject, embodying some of the principal facts and events in the important and eventful life of the illustrious and lamented lady. Should you require any sermon upon the occasion, I shall be happy to send you one or more according to your order.
There will be two at 5/- each, and two at 2/6 each. Each sermon will be complete in itself, and will be ready to be posted on Thursday.
I still continue my course of sermons for the Sundays and Holydays of the year, and I have some ready for all occasions. I remain,
    Revd Sir,
    Yours faithfully,
    Henry Rogers.
