Dear Sydney
I'm glad to get your letter: I return next week and apart from the middle of the month I hope you will come and work the J.S.C oils with me in Norwich.
My response as to Leeds appears to have annoyed you as much as your suggestion that I was going not only to put up "botched work" but to ask you, and the old man in the Brick Field who 'avoids publicity' to pay for it, upset me. I have your letters at home and they shall join the Dossier in the B[ritish] M[useum] in fairness to me.
Nothing would induce me to accept payment from either of you and the incident is now closed.
Meantime you have got to come and see what Kennedy North has done at Crown Point. Some of his work is amazing, but not all of it entirely pleasing to Cotmaniacs of our sort.
Just off to Les St Maries. Lord this is a country!
Love to the daughters from your AB
