    61 COTMAN (John Sell, 1782-1842) View of a Garden House on the Banks of the River Yare. Water-colour, signed and numbered 824 in his circulating collection. 11 3/4 x 8 inches. Framed. This view was etched as the title-page for his 'Liber Studiorum."

    A very beautiful example of Cotman's masterly draughtsmanship and harmonious colouring. Painted about 1810-12. £150

    This drawing was in the Bulwer Collection, Walker's Galleries, June 1926 - No. 25. C. F. B. says circa 1810-12. It was then priced at £150. Bought by one of the Harmsworths - but returned to Walker a few days later.
