    GIFTS TO CAMBRIDGE
    Mr John Alexander Fuller-Maitland, F.S.A., Hon. D.Litt of Borwick Hall, Carnforth, Music Critic of The Times 1889-1914, who died on March 30, aged 79, left estate of the gross value of £38,677, with net personalty £34,194. He left:-
    To the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, the crayon drawing of "La Pia," by D. G. Rossetti, and a water-colour drawing of the Bass Rock by Cotman; to St. John's College, Cambridge, four oil landscapes by Samuel Butler; to Trinity College, Cambridge, the copy of "Vitae Patrum," printed by Caxton and Wynkyn de Worde; £500 to augment the income of the Curate in charge of St Mary Borwick, Warton; and £100 to the R.S.P.C.A.
