was in Uncle Harry’s hand therefore thank him for it please. Give my love also to Uncle Edmund and Aunt Susan and Roe and Grand Parent.

You will remember me very kindly to Arthur Dixon and if he can spare one ¼ of an hour just to scrawl a line or two t’would give me much pleasure to read them. When you see Harriet Morgan again tease her (paper torn) for me will you about her fickleness and ask her for something to send to me. My (best?) respects [[to the]] Mr. & Mrs. Morgan. Amelia promised me some Honey comb from her bees so if you would ask it and make use of it t’would be but right. Mr. Geldart I hear is in France. Having come nearly to the bottom of the page and being half asleep I think tis time to say Good Night My dr Brother.

    Your Affectionate Brother
    Francis W. Cotman.

I wrote this just to let you know I was in the land of the Living and hope to have similar proof from you.
