    My dear Jack
All are well here and going on so much in the usual way that one has really nothing worth communicating in the news way for I have no doubt Father told you in his last long letter that he has taken all the classes to the National Gallery. T'is all over now I am glad to say for though I like much to see the pictures, I do not like to be obliged to take care of 40 or 50 boys. They all behaved very well though and gave me no further trouble than answering the same question over and over again.

The last day (Monday) we took two classes the first and third, in all 70. We met Miss Bacon. I did not speak to her but I told Father where she was and he did. I wish you would either forward the drawing of the house to Cross or see him on Saturday morn and tell him you have it. He usually sets up at the White Horse Magdalen St. Mother wishes you to ask Maria Thirtle if she can make some shirts for her.

Father could not understand the p.s. in your last. He wants to know what he knew of Mary-Anne;- I expect Priest will be in Norwich soon.

Mary Priest said in her last letter to Alfred, "We have not seen John (you) since Edmund (me) left. He is coming to paint portraits.

Call on Miller the Tobacconist and tell him I will send very soon.

    Your affectionate Brother
    Miles E. Cotman.

P.S. If you send the drawing to Cross, roll it on a silk
