I hardly know how it would be best for you to manage when you come down, but as this house must be kept one quarter after Xmas I think you may occupy it till the time is up looking for lodgings that will suit you. that strikes me as being the best plan what think you? You must go to lodgings I think at last but may as well live here until the last minute and that that may not encumber you I will go half or all the expense, of rent at all events, you must find maid and prog [sic] – but of this more when I see you.
You must have been thinking what you should do when you come. Have you made any plan? I have been thinking though hardly dare say so, that if Geldart would live with you this house might be kept on with advantage, but say nothing about this to nobody.
    Your aff[ec]t[ionate] Brother
    Ned.

Geldart is lodging I dare say you know with Dixon. Were I you I would not. for all that you will act as you best like. G. is in Yarmouth he went on Thursday or Friday.
    Good Bye.
    Ned (?).
