    1. till Wednesday (tomorrow) too late alas! to see her. Mrs. Miles' funeral was fixed by Mr. Hawkins's letter for last Saturday Sepr 1st at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Mr. Miles intends returning immediately. He may be expected in Norwich early next week.

    The Doctors supposed until the day before her Death, that she was getting better.

    sealed with a black seal. the upper part of which looks like this.

    Mrs Rix was the mother of Harriet who married - Miles, a brother of Mrs J. S. Cotman
    This letter belonged to the late F. Johnson, who bought it for 5/- from the Rix family. It is now in the Norwich Public Library.
