till Wednesday (tomorrow) too late alas! to see her. Mrs. Miles' funeral was fixed by Mr. Hawkins's letter for last Saturday Sepr 1st at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Mr. Miles intends returning immediately. He may be expected in Norwich early next week.

Mrs Rix was the mother of Harriet who married - Miles, a brother of Mrs J. S. Cotman
This letter belonged to the late F. Johnson, who bought it for 5/- from the Rix family. It is now in the Norwich Public Library.
