    The Bishop Baize Procession
    Dec 1. 1836.
    The Norwich Mercury has a long a/c of it, & of the
    dinner at St. Andrew's Hall, where 900 people were
    present. J.S.C. is reported slightly differently
    than in Dickes, '... with long or short spins at
    his will or pleasure; it has even been my pleasure to
    ride with long. My present hobby is your pageant of
    today

    The following advertisement appeared in the 'Norwich
    Mercury' Jan: 6. 1837.
    For the benefit of the Children of the Norwich Yarn Factory.
    about to be published by subscription.
    THE
    PAGEANT
    Of the triumphant return of the Argonautic Expedition with the Golden
    Fleece, together with the Bishop Blaize, the Titular Saint of the
    Woolcombers & the Cavalcade & Percussion of the Norwich Yarn
    Factory, &c, on the 1st Dec 1836 as seen, and sketched on the
    spot by John Sell Cotman, Honorary Draughtsman.
    The prints to be executed under his immediate sup-
    erintendence, upon from fourteen to twenty oblong folio
    pages. The price to Subscribers cost to exceed One
