The volume content is a mixture of subjects including Cotman family trees, letters and portraits of the Cotmans, and lists/sales of said portraits. There are some references to the Norton family with associated family tree and correspondence.
There are letters and lists of sales relating to Cotman paintings and drawings, with various dealers and auction houses and galleries being mentioned.
