The Misses Bulwer also possess a watercolour, the exact facsimile of 'Gunton Park' illustrated in Binyon's 'Crome and Cotman' p 81 - (as belonging to J. Pal[illegible]) 15 x 13¾ - very good quality - they thought it by Rev. J. Bulwer, but it is certainly either J. S. Cotman or a copy by J. J. Cotman. They possess a letter from J. J. to Mr B. apologising for not executing a drawing he had commissioned - post mark 'Norwich 1840'.
Also - 'Blasting the Rocks, Clifton' - watercolour [[15½ x 12½]] 13½ x 22¼. the same size as that shown at Norwich 1888 & sold by [Walker] to Mr [Charles] Russell in 1927 - If this is a copy by Rev: J. Bulwer, it is very well done.

The Misses Bulwer had lately a letter from Mr Henry A. Bulwer, 5529 Balaclava St, Kerrisdale, Vancouver, B.C. complaining that Walker had written to say that 'Crypt in Normandy' 1 of the 6 drawings he had sold to Walker in January 1927, for 800£, had been pronounced by an expert to be a copy, & would he (B) send him another to take its place.
"I have still 2 beautiful watercolours by Cotman done from sketches by grandfather - one (11¼ x 11¼) of [Howth?] Harbour (exhibited Norwich 1888, lithograph illustration) & one of Madeira (10 x 15½) Cape San Lorenzo (Exhibited Norwich 1888, lithograph illustration) both unsigned but [hall-marked?] all over - also 2 smaller ones of 'Cromer' & 'West Gate, Yarmouth' both exquisite little pictures - Also a sepia, very beautiful, of Blakeney & Wiveton Hall (engraved in Excursions in Norfolk) also a large sepia done in Normandy of some great white chalk rocks: on the back is written 'Les rochers blancs' - Besides these I have a few little unfinished sketches & notes"
    Henry A. Bulwer
