Tuesday, May 1 - 1928 . Visited the Misses Bulwer, at Dalling, near Uckfield, Sussex. Saw their Cotman drawings.
** (1) 'The Harvest Field - a pastoral.' Watercolour. Exhibited Norwich 1810 - Norwich 1888, Tate Gallery 1922.

* (2) Llyn Ogwen. (Wales) watercolour. Tate Gallery 1922 (No 259). Norwich 1888. (No 34) when it was called 'Lake Scene in Westmoreland' . Lithograph illustration. 20½ x 28½.
** (3) 'Kitchen of the Artist's Father's House' - watercolour - 10 x 8 Tate - signed 'J.S. Cotman - August 22nd 1801 - Exhibite Norwich 1888 (No 19) Tate Gallery 1922
* (4) Causeway, Bridge & Shipping, watercolour (Carnarvon) c 8 x 10 very early - probably in Wales - c 1800. very brown
(5) Leigh Woods Bristol - (? from a sketch by Rev. J. Bulwer) tower on hill, trees, water, small figure - late & bad - 19 x 14¾. probably by Cotman & Bulwer
(6) Columbus and the Crucifix. watercolour. 17 x 13¼ - 'J. S. Cotman - 1836' Exhibited Norwich 1888 (No. 174) lithograph illustration
* (7) The Gleaner, watercolour - 16 x 10½ - c. 1810
(8) The Miser. Chalk & body colour on brown paper. 10 x 7 - signed on a chest on left JSC INDIA - late & poor.
* (9) The Page on horseback. watercolour. 10¼ x 7⅛. horse evidently copied from Vandyke's Charles I horse - good in colour - c. 1830-5
(10) 'Normandy Gamekeeper' or the 'Wolf hunter'. Watercolour. 8½ x 5½. Exhibited Norwich 1888. (No. 10) Etched by J.S. Cotman
* (11) 'Quite at Home. Nov: 3 1841. JSC' Charcoal on brown paper, touched with white & scarlet. 7⅝ x 10¾. represents the interior Elevation of one side of the hall at Haydon Hall Norfolk (the house of the Bulwers - large rubbing of a brass of a knight in a panel on wall.
