    fine 45 Guineas pianoforte home, and is going to Mrs. Harriott’s Quadrille Party on the 25th with Mr. ---- and I have a large party on the 13th. Mr. and Mrs. Bridgman is to be with us therefore, I hope she will be tempted to give us some music. The Nortons are all asked. I have added much to my Library and have met with two or three of my late Library one of which is the volume of Thermes or Carriatitudes that I commanded you or Walter to buy if you saw it at any price I rebought it for 4/6!!! two other Volumes Flanders Illustrated in most Superb Vellum bindings that lapped over to protect the leaves, you must remember the Book full of color prints, with the two titles gilt and all the arms blazoned, so I on this score am content. The Hermits I have cut from my prayer Book and I shall send down to you so you must be content too.
    You may tell your Uncle Edmund and Geldart about the Lamp but suppress the extravagant expectations of thousands of pounds for the invention, the other part is most likely, for the invention will supersede all others for its neatness and brilliancy. Arthur Dixon is to be made sole Agent for its sale in Norwich. Unless Brother Ned may think it worth while to put in his claim, the Agency will be a good thing depend upon it, who ever takes it. Bottle for ever Make a Black Cat (good natured one) come to you of her own accord. tis her doing.
    I have sent you a long yarn after all, rather shankled tis true, but worth the unravelling and not to be cut as the gordian knot was. Kind remembrance to all Friends, get your Black Cat of her own accord.
    Carlos is well and bids fair to be a Sir Jn° Falstaff. I regret he is not with you, you now being so much alone. But get a Carlos. I have lately bought 13 Rubens prints fine one of them from the picture you liked in the Gallery, with the Sun bursting between the Trees, also, Two Boys by
