    Dawson Turner Esq
    July 10. 1822.
    Dear Sir,
Immediately after you left me last night I found myself getting so rapidly worse that what I apprehended literally took place. I had a violen relapse with every symtom carried to its highest pitch, aggrivated by a delirium that took from me the knowledge of favouring myself in my positions on my watched and thorny cruch. Clarence's dream was not more wretched than my night of deirium.
    Dear Sir,
    Your grateful Servant
    J.S, Cotman
    Dr. P{rentice} comes today.

Cotman delirious after swallowing a pin. 10th July 1822.
