The Cotman Letters 1804-1833

On Monday both Aunt and myself were at Mrs Rixs, but I believe we should have enjoyed ourselves better by our own fireside for it was very cold and we were all very dull. You must excuse all blunders as it was written in a hurry and there was but just time to dress, get our tea, and ride down to Blofield. My aunt has been taking a nap; time I have been writing and woke just in time to join with me in kind love and remembrances to Mamma and Papa and Brothers. Adieu dear Papa.
