    No.69. on a moderate sea. Pencil
    frame line round.
    reverse................
    “The whole upon a bright & light tone of colour . The Sky
    Wht & grey & little blue. The upper clouds the warmed
    Sea, blue & dark to the left, say Indigo to the right & to
    the base. More green, the whole lighted with what
    little color in the principle boat. The man's cap
    Red.
    Better if brighter than the picture, distant boats
    sails coled oker, Wht & B'Sienna & red tones
    on larger vessel
    grey, distant sea quite silvery Wht sheam
    --thick paper-- of light.”
