    The transformation of Leeds City Art Gallery under Dr John Rothenstein: cutting from The Times, 3 July 1933. Some new works have been acquired, the galleries have been redecorated and the existing collections have been rearranged. The history of the Gallery is outlined. 'Once inside the gallery you forget all about Leeds.' Upstairs is a collection of early English watercolours, some first-rate, including Cotman's A Ploughed Field.
