(6) The Gnarled Oak. c. 1803-4. Slatey grey sky; foliage technique like my study of trees. cf. the Sketch club 'Behold yon oak' (Jan 1804) in R. J. C's Collection : - 12½ x 10½.
(7) Fincham Hall - "Cotman 1673." c.1808-10.
Very fresh. dull subject. 11 x 8¾.
(8) The Water Wheel 'J. S. Colman.' [sic] c 1800. much pencil, blues fled. Can it be the 'Water Mill, near Dorking, Surrey', exh[ibite]d in 1800, R.A.? 11½ x 8¾.
(9) Castle in Normandy (sic) c. 1825. very fresh. Bridge with outworks on r. no paste medium, 9½ x 13½.
*(10) The Cottages. Elm Hill, Norwich. c 1808-12. fresh. coarse. woman w. bundle on head. 10½ x 15¾.
**(11) Baskets & cobble - rudder on beach. thick ribbed paper. "J. S. Colman [sic] '09." 7¼ x 10½.
