This plate, tho' begun by Messrs Turner, was finished by Mr Edwards
himself, a long illness having prevented his completing it. It commemorates
an excellent artist, a most worthy man to whose teaching she is principally
indebted for whatever success may have attended him in his Dept. of Art, & whose*
* assistance is more or less to be traced missing plate in his collection.
