Another, practically identical, but not on same
paper. This perhaps the first of the two.
looks very like J.S.C. & in both (in his writing)
the name is spelt 'Walsokern'.

[ 6 pencil sketches of Capitals. on 2 sheets 6 1/2 x 3 1/2.
very full pencil notes. e.g. 6th nail head'.
'the 8th at No. 8 on S.Side'.
Walsoken. Eight do. on 3 sheets. Note says
'Under the town both N & S Sides alike, the
arches peculiarly elegant & light'. on back
is a little note of a composition.

all these certainly J.S.C.

I think this may be H. T again. goodish
pupil, work from same point of view as
Cotman's etching of 1812. details being
Slightly altered.]

On rough buff paper, pencil of a Jacobean scene.
very rapid & summary, but magnificent architecture
shorthand, & not much more. Only on the left is
any detail, marked on the back "2/6".
