    **(2) Interior of a gothic building, hole in roof with patch of blue sky - looking thro' a gothic door into a cloister. ? The old Hosp[ita]l at Norwich. White [hem] scratched out. Some body colour. 'J. S. Cotman 1802'. most interesting drawing.
    **(3) The Capel Curig Ch. interior (seen at Rochester exh[ibitio]n)
    (4) The Shepherd. late w.c. - (ditto)
    **(5)Monochrome of a cottage, pump in front. c. 1812.
    (6) The Acle Flats. w.c. Early (seen at Rochester)
    **(7) Sepia of a bridge
    } Most effortless and admirable. May be 1822, but looks earlier because more faultless in tone values.
    **(8) Sepia of a bridge
    2 interesting oil landscape sketches.
    *(9) 'Strong Symptoms of the Gout J. S. Cotman, Kings College.' pencil. Man in invalid chair, with baby at foot. 2 cooks with beaker, the other with porridge [peas?]
    (10) 'Ann Miles drawn by J. S. Cotman' (inscribed on back of frame. middle aged woman in large cap. bk pencil & wht chalk on grey paper.

    (11) Pencil of E. Barsham Gateway (cf etching) on the 1811 yellow paper. Evidently done on spot. v. good.
    (12) Pencil of a Castle - trees rather feeble --? Family.
    (13) Pencil drawing of a grove, with sheep & shepherd boy. fine quality but may be J.J.
    (14) Rapid pencil & chalk drawing on grey paper of a valley landscape & cattle. Looks like 1841.
    (15) '2467 Cotman' pencil. boats at sea. ? family.
    (16) '2583 Felbrigg. Cotman.' Pencil. ? Cotman
    (17) '1844. Colnbrook Dale. pencil & white chalk on grey paper writing in red. ? family.
