    The drawing alluded to on opposite page. is an Early Cotman - a river, bridge in Central middistance & mountains beyond. [crossed out - ? The Wharfe with Bolton bridge from Beamsley Village] Tan-y-Bwlch. 1802 - It was exhibited at the Cotman Exhibition at the Tate Gallery 1922. No. 4 'Landscape with mountains & river.' watercolour - 8⅛ x 12½ - lent by Mr H. S. Curry.
    It is probably 180[crossed out - 3]<2> a good deal worried & rubbed but very poetical. Thomson asked 50£ for it.
