Daughter of Archibald Bulwer, and Granddaughter of Rev. James Bulwer (the painter).
Elder sister of Dora Bulwer, they had a collection of their grandfather's paintings, as well as some of his contemporary artists, including John Sell Cotman. They were friendly with Sydney D. Kitson.
Collector of paintings by Bulwer and Cotman, as well as many other arts.
