    Little Kitty, whom one cannot but love came up without fatigue, cold or (torn) . Mr. Shaw (I believe) a gentleman, and Shawl Manufacturer opposite the Octagon Chapel was our companion up, - (Business) – pay one Pound to a Mrs. Nixon St. Martins palace plain on account of H. Smith Esqre Secretary of King’s College, who has requested me to do this job for him. You will oblige both him and me - - I will take the earliest means to repay you. by the by, pay yourself by calling on Mr. Patience with a bill made out thus

    You may lend this whom you please. We are returned now Tuesday After Dinner. Anne, Kitty, Alfred and I from Canvassing, east of Goodman Fields. I have written such a letter to Lady Caroline Garnier, a Dog must come of it, if not, I can only say, I have done my best. I don’t know the quotation I wish to give you X .

    Be it known to those to whom it will give pleasure that John Sell Cotman is all the better for his Norwich trip and right glad and happy that he took it and to find he has added pleasure to his Norwich relations and friends – and safety to the ? at Wi[[ll]]ttingham. if you get the two guineas from Patience give the other one guinea with my best love to Mrs. Kitton poor thing, I hear she is ill. She always loved my dog. And I for that love her. – Say I wd have called on her, but had too much business on hand. I
