    My dear John
I have received your letter of the 28th and am glad you will be able to find time to write often to me for you do [[may judge]] rightly from yourself I must [[sometimes]] do feel rather lonely but not much. The First part of this letter beginning now must be rather gloomy but not much.
On the very Day I posted your last letter Mr. Norris asked me if I had been looking out for a situation I stared a little more passed but towards night I asked Mr. J. Potter to speak to Mr. Potter for me he said he did not know what Mr. Norris had said, but he thought if I could meet with an eligible situation it would be better I said it was quite out of the question for every one was as flat as ourselves, he said he would speak to Mr. Potter about it for me, I have heard nothing since, I offered at the time to suspend my Salary for a month or so untill we were busy but Mr. Norris said they did not wish people to work for nothing, I have been leaving so often that I think I shall not so do not care much about it.
I sent word to Father I did not wish to draw any more of my Salary untill after Christmas and he has been so kind as to send me five £ and said he would send 5 more in about a month so I am all right upon that head. How be you and all I pray the from me.
I am right glad you are settled in your house I hope and doubt not it will be much more comfortable. You said your work room was on the house, do your puples come to Bracondale for their lesson then, that appears an inconveniance but you know best, I think you are quite right in having a fixed time for walking for without some period for such recreation it slips altogether. Your opinion with regard to a company is very true, a biped has many inconveniances such as time
