the ceremony will be performed I shall feel obliged for between you and I there must be something of that sort in the case for she always said the country was so dull about that part – however she is very naughty for not one line has she written the poor little Manchester lad. Yet don’t spare her, but blow her up well. Just the same too in London , have not had a line for a very long time, to say the least tis a little of them for I have a very good reason, not an excuse for not writing for when one comes home after ten which I have done lately tis time to go to bed and before that I used to Study the Stock and copy it every night. This letter has been written with a steel pen and it gives me much annoyance I must conclude. Give my best love to Patty, Arthur M and D and all friends Believe me
    Your affectionate Brother
    Francis W. Cotman.

If Uncle E should know any one who will be coming here soon perhaps you would send me the old clothes I mentioned for all my trousers and Waistcoats and worn out and I want an old coat for the Warehouse. If not perhaps you would send them by coach. Ask Arthur what is a good thing for sore feet for mine are shockingly bad.

I was glad to hear a good account from you of London. I intended to have written to-day but the pen annoys me so much I cannot.
