    My dear Jack
Though my last effusion has not yet left London I must have another slap at you. The rather as when that last was written I was rather in the dumps at not having heard from you. I should indeed not let it come to you only that it contains matter that I wish you to hear without my having the trouble of rewriting. I thank you for the drawings. I would advise you to think twice ere you took all Slaters rooms again. I doubt not you will yet could not help giving such advice. For the future I pray ye be a better correspondent, as ye need not care what you say. I mean the manner in which tis said or written so that I can but decipher it, don't forget this as I believe if you were to write a little more all the [illegible handwritten word] objections you have to writing would vanish and I am of opinion we ought to write well. Tis so foolish to be humming and hawing over a letter for an hour or two and then perhaps say hang it I can not do it and tear the paper. At all events I do not like it and will prevent it if I can. I believe too that plan you talked of some while since of employing the hour after dinner in that way is good and shall try it. do you ---!! As on my arrival at home I shall have no time to repack the parcel to Mr. Juby I shall but say the letters mentioned in this are therein enclosed and that I remain
    Your afft Brother
    Miles E. Cotman.
