P.S. I had forgotten though to say I had been sketching at Mr. Matchetts, Lakenham in oils. I have not however succeeded as I wished. A.D. is at Hanworth. We went last Sunday and while trespassing in the preserves met Ld Suffield so we at once told him our reason for being there and requested permission to paint there. He very graciously said we might do so in welcome, indeed he should be glad if we could find any thing, any where in the park worthy painting, so we were very glad, unbonnetted, and wished him good morning. I was the more pleased as neither John or Aunt liked our going into the preserves without having asked the leave of the steward or Valet. I did not like to do so, as I preferred asking his Ldship, but was told he was out. When I met him I was surprised and much pleased, as it set Aunt at rest.
    Adieu
