pleasure in seeing you and John the 10,000 suits of the finest armour ever made. I do not understand it enough to admire it so much as you – one ought – must be more of an antiquarian than I am to appreciate it fully, so the regret is only not seeing you. Pray do not though wright to tell me you shall soon invite me – no – only invite me when you wish me to come, and I shall have no disappointment in future. I was very much vexed to find the cases did not leave Norwich on Friday last 21, the vessel was not bound to London. They will go tomorrow though and most likely will be at the wharf on Tuesday March 4th.
I send you letters from English and Gibson with papers found in color boxleft perhaps by mistake. I have ordered the boards. I shall pack up the drawings you mentioned &c with Carlo’s picture and send by waggon tomorrow Frid[a]y[.] A man from Rowney and Fosters has just called. Roberts is in Norwich – very ill. I called on Wednesdy but he was too ill to be seen. I send you 6d and shall thank you to send me a strop as I have not one. I shall expect also a stamped receipt so do not forget it. Miss Wrights want a parallel ruler. With price.
With best love to you my dear Father
    I remain your Affectionate Son
    Miles Edmund Cotman.
