Edmund does not look well, both his and Alfred’s complaint was the Influenza that is going about. The afternoons Sun is now shining most brilliantly on the fair folks and makes them all shine like gems, and on Thursday night the lights in the different Stalls looked as gay as Norwich could well look. But very, very far below the firefly appears of a London Street with its regular and magnificent sweep of Gass Lamps, varied by accidental Shops and Carriage Lamps, with its magnificent accompanyment of fine architecture. Mrs. Dixon I am sorry to add is very dangerously ill from her upset. Love from all, to you. Well I think I have done pretty well for you in the Letter way, considering. Packing up &c.
    Your affectionate father
    J. S. Cotman.
    Saturd[ay] afternoon.

Mr. Geldart said he had a Letter for you – but I must shut up Sharp, it is not arrived.
