paid me by your more than brotherly kindness. I hope the thought will never again enter your head that no one cares for you, but you will remember you have a sister, one who loves you dearly, and one who thinks nothing too good for such a brother. Think not my dear John that it is my good disposition that has made us so happy, rather let me tell you that the praise is due to you and you alone it affords me much pleasure however to find that I am so high in your esteem. Mr. Geldart has been reading part of his letter to us, and has brought me a nice little bunch of flowers, but the day we went to Mr. Morgan’s, Edmund expressed a wish for a nosegay as he said for the ladies, I declare the man went to Thorpe did not find any there, so took a horse and gig and I suppose went to Mackie’s at least, he drove past ours town-way and brought us a beautiful bunch, he certainly is a most delightful man and a companion you may always be proud of, don’t you tell him what I say though. My paper is now almost full and you glad to think you have arrived at the conclusion –
Believe me to remain my dear, dear brother
    Your devotedly attached Sister
    Anne Cotman.
