    My Dear Sir,

Knowing that his circumstances are far from prosperous I do not like to refuse his request. Knowing you have taken so kind a part in his affairs I venture to request you to inform Mr Cotman that I shall desire the drawings to be carefully booked and sent, on the night of the 9th instance. by the Norwich Exhibitors to Mr Gurney's Bank - to be left there until called for. Mr Cotman will therefore call for them when he goes to Norwich, & may I beg that he will take every care of the drawings and return them by the same safe conveyance to me - direct to 62 Lombard St.
I trust you will excuse my time troubling you & believe me,
    Dear Sir,
