    still that one plate to do, and inscriptions to insert to three of them!!! I feel no blame that can possibly attach to me for this sad, sad delay. For had it not been for this illness my Plates would have been in London, I firmly believe, last Wednesday. After all my exertions to prove to you how much I valued your kind advice, I have nothing left to show for it but intentions - and these, I trust, your kindness will accept - for the intentions [[of]] with the generous is ever the same with the Deed.

    P.S. Should Mrs Turner have copied the pencil drawing of the Mill, if you could send it at any time by Crome, I shall thank you, as that Drawing was sold when I lent it to Mrs T - though at the time I forgot to mention the circumstance.
