Addressed:- To Mr. Arthur Dixon Exchange Street.

    To Arthur Dixon

My dear Sir, Greeting; So perfectly satisfied am I with your treatment of my daughter's foot, that, no part of it, can I object to but your extravagant charge, which were I a Nobleman perhaps even that objection might be waved. in the extraordinary Honor of attending Nobility, which wd we all know be a sufficient equivalent. But as I am No Nobleman the objection remains, and I object to that part of your treatment in to for. lots?(written above 'to for') -- But more of this hereafter. My only feeling at this moment is to thank you , and to request the pleasure of your company to Tea on Sunday should you be disengaged and disposed to add to the obligation. Yrs truly
    J. S. Cotman.
