    July 7th 1832

    My dear Madam,
    Your cup of Coffee's lost - The Shield of Hastings, Earl, Bears Manche of Diamond within a Field of Pearl, which may be Diaper'd without the Herald's leave, Merely by drawing patterns on the sable sleeve; But when it's Damask'd, the pattern's raised, I was Just as we view it on fair Worstead's screen.
