    Part of letter pasted on the back of the drawing ‘The Pithay, Bristol,@ 12¼ x 8½, signed ‘J. S. Cotman 1831@ - belonging to L. S Fry – (Mrs L. S. F bought it for £75 from the executors of the Rt. Hon Lewis Fry c.1903)
    This letter is written by Cotman to Francis Gibons (sic) banker of Saffron Walden, who bought the drawing. …..” The House in the Centre of Bristol, but the distance imaginary –
