    My dear Sir
I hope I have not put you to inconvenience by detaining so long those beautiful drawings which you were so kind as to lend me. I trust you may indeed find that they will be useful hints to you in your own compositions. I have not been returned from London more than a few days. I had the pleasure before coming away of leaving my Sister Elizabeth Safe, and tolerably well - having added another boy to her family. Mamma will sail for Scotland in rather less than a week, from London - taking Ellen with her, and papa quits home this day for London. Being now about to forward a parcel to Norwich, he offers to enclose the drawings in it, and assures me that their arrival with you will be no how delayed. I hope Mrs Cotman is in good health now, as well as the rest of your family I had the pleasure whilst in London of seeing many Exhibitions and other works of art, of which I shall like very much to endeavour to benefit myself by talking with you when we meet.
Pray accept my best thanks for the loan of the drawings, and believe me with much respects
    Yours sincerely
    Mary Anne Turner.
