You will be surprized to read of my being at Yarmouth. I could tell you a long story of my expecting to see the Rubens, but we'll see it together. I went in "a freak". Lounde called the night before & persuaded me to take a seat in his gig, promising to bring me back safe at night, & so I went & so he did. I had a delightful walk on the beach from the Jetty to the Pierhead, alone, Lounde being about his business & Geldart engaged with a "sitter" – it was a splendid day – & being quite alone with naught but the blue above & the blue below, & being very wishy for it, I e'en stript on the beach and had a dip – thought of our last bathe at Southwold & of that at the Trowse Eye, & I wished you were with me. I should had a long swim I think then, but dared not venture alone, & said it was "too cold" – it had the effect of champagne for it sent me deliciously exhilarated on my walk, & so I think it did me no harm. – Geldart is still at Yarmouth. I expect him home towards the latter end of the week. I hope you have written him there. I saw your mamma last night, she was better, on Thursday she had come to Norwich & dined at Roe's I think, & "fly"ed home at night.
    Dinna forget me.
    Yours my dearest John,
    always sincerely
    Arthur Dixon
