You will be surprized to read of my being at Yarmouth. I could tell you a long story of my expecting to see the Rubens, but we'll see it together. I went in "a freak". Lounde called the night before & persuaded me to take a seat in his gig, promising to bring me back safe at night, & so I went & so he did. I had a delightful walk on the beach from the Jetty to the Pierhead, alone, Lounde being about his business & Geldart engaged with a "sitter" – it was a splendid day – & being quite alone with naught but the blue above & the blue below, & being very wishy for it, I e'en stript on the beach and had a dip – thought of our last bathe at Southwold & of that at the Trowse Eye, & I wished you were with me. I should
Dinna forget me.
Yours my dearest John,
always sincerely
Arthur Dixon
