morning with Edmund & your Sister round Thorpe & Moushold the same walk which you took with her. – Edmund afterwards came to mine & spent the afternoon with my Brother John, who had arrived the evening before, & left us the morning after. –
The consciousness of inutility which attends my interest in your success renders unnecessary any apology for intruded support under the difficulties & disappointments which it must be your lot in common with all who desire to achieve great things, to encounter, but [I may hope, or rather – crossed out] I may express the hope which I feel so present, that you strengthen by the advice & rally by the suggestions of the powerful mind which in the warmth of friendship attached to your own, stands a kind adjuvant to perfect the most important ends of your life. –
Will you do me the favour to trouble yourself to write me a note by the first or second post after, acknowledging the receipt of this parcel?
    Arthur Dixon.
[is there anything you ...- crossed out]
