Two sets of index cards and one catalogue created by Kitson to list his collection of art.
One of two identical typescript copies of Kitson’s catalogue of his collection of Cotman works, titled, ['Catalogue of Drawings by John Sell Cotman Made Between March 1924 & May 1937 By Sydney D. Kitson of Thornbury House, Kidlington, Oxon. Complied by Himself'].
On Kitson's death in 1937, Sir Henry Mendelssohn Hake, then Director of the National Portrait Gallery, London, was appointed to allocate Kitson’s collection of art by Cotman and other artists to English art institutions. Hake used the Kitson catalogue to help with his allocation of art works (see SDK/2/2).
