    Sept 13. 1930. Met Mr. Fred[eric]k Johnson (author of 'The
    Turner Family') at the Castle Museum. He promised
    to furnish me with some Cotman family data, &
    he wrote on Sept 14, & again on Sept 22. giving some
    interesting particulars, especially that Edmund took
    up his freedom of Norwich as a Barber; and entered his
    son (on the foundation) at the Grammar School 1793.
    'John Cotman son of Edward (sic) Cotman, Hairdresser,
    of St.Andrews.'
