Sept. 10. 1930. Went to Norwich (Maid's Head)
To Castle Museum. Looked through the J.S.C. loan collection again.
    Examined the book of tracings.
"This volume contains a series of tracings by Harriott,
& were presumably made by John Sell Cotman, & many
of them were apparently used by him for the basis of his
drawings of places which he had not visited. See a
drawing by J.S.C. belonging to Mr. R.J. Colman, on the back
of which this artist has recorded it as a gift to
Harriott. Bought [by Mr. R.J.C.] at Messrs. Geldart's sale, April

    1. No. 232." Note by F.Leney at the beginning
      of the vol.

J.S.C.'s drawing, which was sold in 1836 for 17/-, & is
      now in V & A. Museum]
      (2) 'Rue & Eglise S.Niviers, Croix de - at Rouen'.
