    Catalogue of Sir Hickman Bacon's Cotmans at Thonock.
    Sept: 16-17, 1929.
    (1) ** Scene in the Black Country — (?) Bedlam Furnace, Madeley Vale.
    very beautiful - light concentrated on centre pond in foreground
    Gnarled tree and derelict wheel l. Woman in red cloak retreating r.
    Rather wiped & worried - c. 1802. 10½ x 18.
    (2) * Windmill, with figure r. Rep[roduce]d in Binyon's 'Cotman & Crome'
    Very blue sky, r. Mill black. no egg paste. c. 1826-8(?) 21 x 15?
    (3) Brecknock. prob. exh[ibite]d R[oyal] A[cademy] 1801. 15 x 21½.
    {Sketch of 3 by Kitson} - rather muddy & worried, but fine. (80£ from Palser)
    (4) * "Gunton Park" Study for the w[ater]c[olour] belonging to Sir H.B.B. rep[roduce]d in 'Cotman & Crome' by Binyon - Soft pencil & white chalk on grey paper - c. 1828(?) - 15½ x 13.
    (5) * "Itteringham Nov. 12, 1841" - Charcoal & white chalk on brown paper - original drawing for the lithograph - 14½ x 10½.
