The printed catalogue of the 3 days’ sale at Norwich by W[alter] Spelman is preserved in the office of Mr Spelman (grandson of W.S) at Norwich, with the names of the purchasers & the prices attached. It is a small 8vo volume. Seen by me, July 4, 1928.

“The extensive & valuable collection of rare & fine Engravings & Etchings, a few Paintings & Drawings, Library of Books, Books of Prints, a Collection of Ancient Armour, Foreign & Miscellaneous Curiosities, Carvings, Models, Plaster Casts, Copper Plates, and a few remaining articles of Household Furniture, [the property (crossed out)] at the Residence of John Sell Cotman Esq. St Martin’s Palace Plain, Norwich, who is leaving the City.”
