1807.
Sept [‘Aug’ crossed out] 12. Mrs Cholmeley & the 3 youngest girls returned home.
Sept [‘Aug’ crossed out] 14. Mr & Mrs Cholmeley, Kath[erine] & Harriet went to Rokeby.
Sept 21. Mr Cholmeley & Kath[erine] went from Rokeby Park, slept at Kendal & arrived the next morning at Ambleside.
— 25 Mr Ch[olmele]y, Anne & Kath[erine] left Ambleside[,] slept at Appleby & arrived next day at Rokeby.
Oct 3. Mr & Mrs Cholmeley & the 3 girls left Rokeby & slept at Easingwold.
Oct 4. They arrived at Brandsby in the morning.
— Francis arrived at Brandsby after visiting Rokeby, Hesleyside [Mints?], White Hall & the Lakes.
Dr Simpson (Mr C’s medical man) came first on the 30th Oct. & after that stayed nearly every other night until Mr C’s death on Jan. 27 1808.
Nov 8. Mr Fairfax called at the door.

July 15. Lord & Lady Carlisle here in the morning.
Aug. 11. Mr Varley & Mr Cholmeley went to Duncombe Park to dinner.
— 12 They returned to a late dinner.
— 13 Mr Varley went away in the evening.
1809.
Oct 1. Mr Cholmeley arrived at Brandsby bringing [?] down with him Mrs Charlton & her sister Miss Margaret Darell. Mr Cholmeley was married to Miss Barbara Darell at St George’s Hanover Square Aug 12 & afterwards passed five weeks at Wimbledon.
Nov 9. Mr & Mrs Sydney Smith [Foston] & Mr Wrangham came to dinner.
