    Dear Mr Kitson,
I have now had the opportunity of seeing a number of photographs of N[otre] D[ame] sur l'eau Domfront & there is no doubt whatever that it is the subject of your sketch.*
As I thought, the W. [west] part of the nave has been pulled down & the old w. door re-set further E. [East]; the timber spire also has been re-built in a plain pyramidal form. The tower itself, transept & apse remain however precisely as shown in your drawing.
    I return your reproduction herewith.
    Yours very truly,
    A. W. Clapham
