    Robert Dixon (1780-1815) was never a member but exh[ibite]d in 1809
    48 - Remains of an Old Tower on the city Wall, Norwich (25 guineas without frame - 30 with)
    62 - Flordon, Norfolk (20 guineas without frame, 25 with)
    R.D was V.P of the Norwich Society of Artists in 1809 - R. Ladbroke Pres.
    V & A Mus:[eum] has a M.S. book of letters, etc concerning the 'Associated P's in W.C.' Collected by Wyatt Papworth whose father John Buonarrotti Papworth (1775-1847) was sec[retar]y of the society in 1809.
    "Norwich 6 Dec 1808 - Sir, I duly received your favour of the 15th ult. In consequence of it I have taken every possible step to assuage matters with my brother artists in this place to the end that we might by one conveyance enclose the necessary [[d]] number of drawings from each..... I enclose drawings to complete the number necessary to lay before the society.....I hope you will receive in the course of the week or the beginning of next the drawings of Mr Crome etc. I am, Sir, your obedient servant Robert Dixon.
    To Mr Papworth, Sec[retar]y Associated Artists etc.
    On July 1809 R.D. writes to say he has not got his 3 drawings originally sent for his inspections, nor his 2 exh[ibited] back.

    P. Oppé writes 22.7.29. The owner of Cotman's early R.A. drawing of Newburgh Priory is Claude Tryon Esq. Springfield, Ryders Road, Walton-on-Thames.
