    ****(m) The Gnarled Oak. r. water l. fragment. landscape beyond - monochrome on rough paper - 13 x 16 - 'J.S.Cotman' in ink r bottom. superb: Early Sk[etching] Soc[iety]?)
    *(n) 'Blickling Park.' pencil on grey paper - 14 x 21 - late (1841?) written on back in J.S.C's writing 'This solitary and pensive guise.'
    ***(o) Castle Eden Dean (?) Cf Miss Littlewood's watercolour of same subject - c. 1805 - 11 x 9.
    **(p) A figure walking in a wood - monochrome on brownish paper - early (? Sk[etching] Soc[iety]) 14 3/4 x 11 1/2
    **(q) Gothic doorway and staircase at Caen. 'J.S.Cotman 1817.' sepia - fine arrangement. 13 x 9.
    (r) Cleft Rocks. Normandy (outside Pontorson?) sepia - lights too white - 11 x 18
    *(s) Little Snoring Nfk. like the anon: etching - watercolour. fairly early.
    **(t) Cottage with a girl to r - s.g. etching No. 40 Lakenham n[ea]r Norwich - reversed - 9 x 7 3/4 - Colman - 1302 - c.1809-12. nice colour.
    (u) The Abbey Church of Cherisy - sepia for the etching. no inscription or date.
    (v) The Mill at Eye - (no horse to r) Watercolour 9 x 13. very beautiful blues and greys.

    The Cotman bedroom has about 35 watercolours.

    (b) A Cottage '1581 Cotman' c. 1812-13.
    ***(c) A lovely large waterwheel, c.1805.
    ***(d) Banks of the Greta. near view of foliage. water. 1805.
    (e) A house in Rouen (w.c of etching) 'J.S.Cotman 1818.'
    (f) A Tower, with 3 men on right. c. 1808. (?) '476. Cotman'.
    ****(g) The Needles - seen from the sea. Most glorious symphony in blue and grey.
